This little guy took us SO serious for the beginning of the shoot, it was hilarious. He never fussed, or got upset… just watched every move and would not even crack a hint of a smile. We tried so many different things, what would have been funny would be to have the camera turned on us! Eventually though, we broke him down and got some good laughs. Thank goodness!! (although some of my favorite pictures are when the kids are being serious. There is just so much soul in the eyes when that happens!) I will say, smiling or not the one thing I love about baby boys is how they look like such little men. It’s just adorable!

Oh, these girls are so adorable! I won’t say they didn’t make their mom and I work hard to get these… but we worked it, and got ’em! I’ve shot Addison since she was born, and just love her! That is one of the best perks when shooting them from the beginning. You get to watch the amazing transformation that takes place, and especially during that first year!! And Sarah is so photogenic that she doesn’t even have to try…

Newborns just make me smile, they are SO stinken sweet. I was able to shoot Tanner’s older sister when she was a newborn, and now it’s his turn. It’s amazing how so much can change in just a few short years! This kid cracked me up, because all he wanted to do was stretch with his arms out. He did NOT want to cuddle up… so we went with it. These are about him after all, right? ๐Ÿ™‚ And man it makes me happy when I can get those smile from them. *sigh*

I was not home even 24 hours and this is what welcomed me back to work. It was seriously a blast, and I’m sure I don’t even have to tell you how much they adored each other, since it’s written all over their faces. It made it a perfect shoot to start back with. It also made me want to reignite that “puppy love” with my husband, they were just so dang sweet!! And seriously, what more could I ask for? Perfect location -check, super photogenic and in love couple-check, weather that cleared up just in time -check. So I guess nothing else really! Congrats you two!!

We are back!! And to say thank you for all those waiting patiently for my return, and all the new friends who’ve found me during my absence, I thought I’d share a little of our journeys. ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are some of my favorite images (although far from perfect!) from the summer abroad. This first one is probably my new absolute most favorite place on earth. The Cinque Terre in Italy. I could have stayed there and never come back!

Next up is Giverny, which is a small city in the country outside of Paris. Giverny is the home of Monet and his famous gardens. This was my youngest drawing her version of Monet’s lily ponds. I loved how the art just poured out of them while we were there! Incredible culture and lifestyle, such rich history, views that you just can’t get enough of and the most embracing people you’ll ever find.

This is the amazing Mont Blanc found in the Alps. The Alps is probably a close second for me as one of those must see things in life. Its awe inspiring, and someplace that’s hard to appreciate without ever having been there in person. And being from the South, my kids were more than happy to see all the snow!

Here is a panoramic of Nice, France. The pebble beaches were awesome, but honestly I craved the Florida sand! We did spend a good week in this area though, along with Monaco.

Fifth is a darling city right before you hit the Alps. I can’t remember the name of it right now, but we will be staying there again if we ever make it back. Incredible views, incredible people, and incredible history! The ruins here were outstanding, and with the Alps as a backdrop, you just can’t pass it up!

So here are those pebble beaches in Nice. They are beautiful, but not ultra comfortable to walk on. Everyone was just laying on towels, which you do get used to, but everyone was also walking around with shoes still on. Shoes are a must! This was about the only time I ever saw any of them with their shoes off during beach time!

I don’t even remember where this is from exactly, but it was in Italy. Italy is amazing. It’s a place we would move if we could. And if they get their financials back together. ๐Ÿ˜‰

So there you have a quick journey from some of our fun the last few months. I swear I had some of Rome to show too, but I guess I will save that for another time! I’m currently booking for this fall, so jump in now if you want before it all fills up. If you’ve ever had pictures taken (or I mean, come on, even just tried to go shopping!) everything gets crazy busy crazy fast! And for those who’s pictures I’ve already shot since being back… they will be up over the next couple of days, so keep on the look-out!

admin - Thanks Michelle! I forgot you had been there and how in envy I was. It’s someplace everyone should get the chance to see!ReplyCancel

I just realized I never shared this sweetie with you. If you can believe it, this was shot in Idaho, when it was supposed to be freezing outside. Having grown up there, she was used to it. I, on the other hand found it to be rather cold! LOVE the big beautiful sky though. We don’t see that much around here… too many trees in the way!
