He’s 6 months old, and has more personality than most adults! His expressions are one of my favorites in life (and maybe his little chubby rolls)!

I have taken this family’s photos for years. Since before they were 6. Actually, before they were even 5! I love them, and have missed seeing them since I moved out here, but they came to see me and had me take their photos!! Okay, well really they came to see family, BUT they still made time for family pictures with me, which is sometimes a really hard feat when traveling. I know, I’ve been there! And to be honesty, I enjoyed every minute of it! Miss you guys! (and no, family pictures are not my thing, but I have always made exceptions for repeat clients!)

I really am not one to pat myself on the back. I don’t like a lot of loud attention, and even more than that I hate failing. So with that said, I’m being brave and putting out there the images that I have won awards on. I love these. I love more than these, but this is a good start! And I’ll try to be better about posting the new ones I win as well! I haven’t been as diligent with this since my little one was born, but hopefully in the next year I’ll get back into getting my images judged. It’s so hard to see your work of art critiqued, but there is nothing that will make you grow faster than that too!

So my church group asked if I’d teach a basic photography class to this group of girls. It was very simple and basic. Mostly composition and what to look for in a good photo. It was a blast, and hopefully they learned a lot. At the end they all got to sit in for an impromptu photo. I mean, none of them were planning it, no one came with hair and make up ready for portraits, and they turned out SOOO beautiful! I wish teens understood the real natural beauty that they are! This is the age girls really become self conscious, and this is the age I think it’s most important to show them how beautiful they really are, inside and out. Love you girls!

I’ve known these 3 their whole life. Their big brother is the senior post just before this. They are quite the brood, and some of the best kids in the world! I love watching as kids become more and more young adults figuring out who they want to be and how they fit into this big world.

Man, I remember when this kid was not even a teen yet. More like not even in the double digits, and now he’s a senior graduating from high school!
