Haha, I take back everything I said about that last little one being busy, because this kid wins it! He was SO busy, but honestly SO happy at the same time. It was amazing. It kind of reminded me of my youngest, who also happened to be very busy but very happy. And Susan I’ll warn you now, I don’t think he’ll grow out of the busy! But that also means he won’t grow out of the happy either. So no matter how you look at it, it’s amazing and wonderful and very entertaining! And also makes for some amazingly wonderful entertaining shots… when you can get him in the frame. 😉

Okay, So I’ve shot this sweetie since she was just a few days old, and I’ve also snapped portraits of her big (but still little!) brother. Not to mention they have a rockin awesome mom! I can’t even begin to tell you how fun, but busy this little cutie is. She didn’t want to sit still for more than .5 seconds, but that was just enough to grab some adorable shots. Can you tell someone in their family is a little of a Georgia Bull Dogs fan? And that dog should win awards for best prop, because that was the ONLY time we could keep her sitting. She LOVED that thing! The second one is probably one of my faves I’ve done in a long time. It’s hard to get that emotion, and not have it look upset (which she wasn’t). So much emotion caught in just that blink of the shutter, with the perfect little pose to top it off. And then you go to the next one… I think she had me laughing more than I was shooting. Seriously! Ahhh, these are the reasons I do what I do!

Okay, tell me this little peanut isn’t just the cutest thing, and she’s got an adorable name as well! I shouldn’t even say this, but her mom and grandma have a collection of bins and buckets that would put me to shame (including that rockin pillow with the yellow flowers. I was hoping they’d forget it at my place, but it turns out they really like it too. Go figure)! So let me tell you a little about Anniston. First off, I don’t know how a diaper even holds all her pee, because when she goes, she goes. I was impressed! She also didn’t like her hands messed with at all (yea, so be uber impressed with that last shot!). But she did love being naked. She loved having her arms spread out like she was flying while she slept. And she loved having her legs curled up so tight against her stomach, you’d think she was still in the womb. It was so fun getting to take these pictures for you guys! Good luck on your move(s) and I hope this won’t be the last time I see this little one!!

It’s been a bit of a cold spell over here hasn’t it? I cuddled up with my family, and extended family for some much needed bonding time over the break. Then cuddled up to my bed for some much needed catch-up sleep time. But don’t worry. I can only disappear so long before I can’t take it any more (or you. The minute the break was over, the calls and emails started back up, so thank you for not forgetting about me!!). I’m back, and you’re gonna start seeing more fresh faces and fresh shoots popping up on here. Kinda like these two. I might be just a little biased, but are these two just the sweetest?!  Oh, and these cuties happen to be related. I told you I might be biased.  🙂  There is nothing better than having family come visit for the holidays, or for special events, other than when they visit, and then ask you to take picture too!  And it was actually fun getting to shoot locally for someone who isn’t local. Even with everything dead outside and we are all waiting for the life to show back up outside, everything was still magically beautiful in their eyes. They have mountains, we have trees and forests. And warmer weather.   So here they are. Two of the cutest kids I know! Love and miss you guys, and thanks for the visit!

I had to get these images out in time for Christmas and I figured, what better could I give someone than some beautiful images of their precious new daughter. And really, she is just that. I had so much fun getting to shoot her, and she did an amazing job. And really, take a look at those amazingly pouty lips. To die for! I must be on a lucky streak with the babies lately, but I’ll take it! And her parents are pretty cool to boot. They weren’t the nervous first time parents, everything just seemed so natural for them. And mom was doing amazingly well for just having a baby. I tell you, every shoot I am more and more impressed with all the moms. I know I didn’t look that good for months after having a baby! Hope you love ’em, and merry Christmas you guys. Enjoy this first celebration with little Jenna!

The last time I photographed Katelyn was right after she was born, and now, she is all grown up! Okay, well maybe not really grown up… but certainly more so than the newborn I saw last. She is now sitting and crawling, and standing (sort of). And although she wasn’t cracking that smile in front of the camera as much as behind, she was still absolutely adorable. In fact, I often love the non-smiling pictures, because that’s really when you can see the eyes! And with eyes like these, you don’t want to miss them! SO SWEET!
