So exciting news.  I don’t know if you remember awhile back.. I announced I was getting close to my 100th shoot as Jonesy Rae Photography.  And I don’t know if you remember, but that 100th session was going to be free. So Surprise little Gavin, this one’s on the house! And really, I couldn’t think of anyone better that this little kiddo. I have loved shooting him since he was just a newbie at 3 weeks old, and then again at 6 months. It’s now his one year, so here’s to birthdays!  Tell your mom and dad to take the money and get you something awesome for Christmas!  🙂  And I tell you…he was such a trooper. It was FREEZING cold here this weekend… and he suffered out there as long as he could. But when he was done, he was done (isn’t that how we all are though?). Check out the last one and you’ll see what I mean!  I’m sure the adults were secretly glad though, because we were just as happy to get indoors and thaw out and he was!

Happy 100th!!! Can’t wait to see who hits 200!

So I’ve seen Piper since she was 3 months old, and finally I had the chance to snap some pictures of her big brother Sawyer.  It’s kinda sad to think that Piper is now one, and I won’t be seeing her every 3 months. Or her mom. When you spend this much time invested in someone’s child, you become invested in them. It’s one of the many perks of doing what I do. Guess it’s just time for their mom to have another baby… keep her coming back more often!  😉 pinimage pinimage pinimage pinimage pinimage

So I just had to put these up of my kids. I usually try to get at least a yearly photo of the kids, that is similar to the year before, in the same spot, and kind of the same poses. It’s always fun seeing how much they’ve changed over the year, and the comparison is an easy way to do it. Especially since I’m a horrible mom and WILL NOT buy those horrible school pictures! 🙂 So although I have oodles of your photos I’m getting ready, I couldn’t help but post a few of these!

and one, just because I had to share the colors here in the fall. LOVE them! Cutest part was, she is my child who absolutely hates the camera, but she climbed up the tree and BEGGED for pictures with the leaves behind her. So the idea that she asked for the photo makes me love it all the more!

I had the HARDEST time narrowing down the images from this little girl. I know the parents were worried, because she was technically past the 2 week mark. But I tell you… she was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better baby. And to top it off… she didn’t even mess on any of my blankets or props. Nothing! She waited until her dad was taking her back to get dressed before she did anything. I don’t know if he appreciated it, but I did. Very few join those ranks.. so welcome little one! Hope you enjoy the images, because I seriously can’t stop looking at them!

Allison Cahoon - YEs, yes.. she is pretty darn cute. I love it when babies don’t pee and pooh on my stuff.. it is an awesome treat!!! I love the new blog. When did you do this?? Beautiful work .ReplyCancel

It’s always bitter sweet to watch these little cuties grow up before your eyes! I guess I’m just glad I get to be there to be a part of it!  It sounds so cliche, but it really feels like just yesterday that I had Darby in here for her newborn shoot. Crazy how fast 6 months goes!  Best part was, she was still just as good as the first time I met her. She’s definitely a keeper!

I absolutely LOVED this shoot, and loved the way the images came out. I also loved that mom came back for a mini shoot with baby Addy’s big sister, who (by the way) has the most expressive eyes I’ve ever seen. Has to be one of my favorite children to photograph. She doesn’t even have to smile because everything is written in her eyes. And then lets talk about baby Addison. Simply put, she was amazingly good to me. Let me do nearly everything I wanted to, and then some. Oh… *sigh*
